Title: Lorentzian Polynomials and Log-Concavity
Time: 10:30-11:30 May 27, 2026 (Wednesday)

Abstract: The theory of Lorentzian polynomials was developed independently by Brändén–Huh and Anari–Liu–Oveis Gharan–Vinzant to study the structures underlying log-concavity phenomena. In this talk, I will give a survey of the theory of Lorentzian polynomials and discuss some of its applications to log-concavity results in matroid theory.
