Title: Failure of Liouville type theorems and type I singularities of the Navier-Stokes equations
Abstract: It is known that if a solution of the 3D Navier-Stokes equations loses smoothness, then there necessarily exists a non-zero bounded solution defined on the whole backward time interval. In this talk, I will focus on the reverse implication. Joint work with Dallas Albritton (Wisconsin-Madison).
